There might be days we all face when we don't have the minimum energy or willpower to work/study/grind(Excluding workouts) and we end up blaming the consequences and sometimes even the weather. We make excuses to satisfy ourselves to not work. As a matter of fact, I am writing this article because I couldn't focus on my studies. Now without further ado, let's get into business. I want to mention that the following few methods or hacks that I would be sharing with you guys were a result of a bit of research that I had been doing on self-help from specific YouTubers and persons. Anyways:-
1. POMODORO (SURVIVAL EDITION) - Well the situation here is you have to work /study cause else you will fail or get fewer marks/have a bad presentation for the meeting etc, but you don't have the required mindset at that point of time to study/work.
STEP 1 - Just switch off your damn phone no airplane mode or DND just switch that thing off.
STEP 2 - Set a timer for 25 minutes and that doesn't need to be on your phone. You can just look at the clock and count the time.
Step 3 - Just sit at your workplace and try to study/work for 25 minutes. After you complete this period you will feel confident and what you will have with you is a day not wasted.
2. Music - there's a specific music playlist in Spotify Dark academia. This playlist contains classical music and not songs with lyrics it calms the mind and kind of sets you into a hangover which works great for me. It increases my productivity and also helps me to even start off with work.
3. Do something related to work - try to avoid this but if you're not even in the slightest of mood and you have time before your deadlines and also you don't wanna waste any time, try watching videos related to your work or maybe workout a bit just work on yourself.
4. Self-reflection - Go to a quiet place no music no phones no, people, and as much isolation as possible. Then at least for 10 minutes just talk to yourself and think of yourself and your current situation. All the wrong things people did to you. All the times you have been disrespected, and all times they laughed at your failure. Usually, after this, the guilt and revenge mentality kicks in and you get back into studies.
5. DO not rely on false motivation - This I will rather say is what you should not do but I thought it's important enough to share. See motivation it comes and goes it never stays and it doesn't make you consistent. And relying on motivation is almost like a smoker relying on cigars. So just don't rely on it, once the effect's gone you are back to square one.
